3 Everyday Beauty Staples

There are simply some things in this world I cannot live without when it comes to my beauty routine. I have a few items that I am willing to let go of, but these babies … well, they are just that - my babies. And you don’t just go abandoning such! They are forever! Lucky for you, I am going to let you in on my treasures and hopefully you guys enjoy them as much as I do.

1. Pai-Shau : Biphasic Tea Infused Hair Oil

Okay, so let’s just start with this. I am not one of those girls who can go days without washing her hair and still look fresh. I shower, and give or take a few hours, some untying and tying of top knots, some errands around the house and voila - hello grease !!!

So when it comes to finding a rejuvenating hair oil that won’t weigh it down, and doesn’t make me look like I need to jump back in the shower … I’ve had a very difficult time.

Cue my fabulous hair dresser - He introduced me to a company called Pai-Shau about 5 or so years ago and I have never gone back. This is the only hair oil I will ever use. Period. It is so light, but so effective. It smells amazing, and lasts about 6-8 months, giving you a good bang for your buck. I put it on my damp hair after I get out of the shower, and it allows my comb to easily slide right through my usually very knotty hair.

Thank me later!

2. Laniege : Lip Sleeping Mask

Pucker Up, because you are going to have the most luscious lips day in and day out with this sleep mask.

I am sure most of you know this product, but I could not let it go unmentioned. The amount of people I have raved and recommended this product to, cannot even be counted on two hands.

For years I would be that girl who had a tub of vaseline by her bed as her lip saviour. However, over time I just realized it wasn’t doing the trick. Thus began my search to find something better and “cleaner” to use.

The Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask was exactly what I was looking for and I use it EVERY night before bed. A few things - I love how voluptuous (not gonna lie when I was spelling this I totally thought there was an “m” in that word …awwwkward lol) … I love how voluptuous my lips look and feel in the morning. I can still feel the product 9 hours later! I also put on a good amount before bed, and year after year … this well priced product lasts me the ENTIRETY of it . That tiny jar?!! A full year? No way… Except, YES WAY. I honestly don’t know if my money could be more well spent.

With the cold weather here, chapped lips are in the air. I highly recommend you guys get out (or stay in) and order this product. Sephora carries it online and in stores, and there are so many delicious as well as subtle flavours to choose from! It may end up being a case of eenie meenie ;)

3. Bioderma : Sensibio H2O

I’ve saved the best for last. I thank my momma for introducing me to this make up remover over 6 years ago.

A lot of times on set of a photoshoot, I would have to take off my make up several times throughout the day to change looks. In the past it was always make up wipe after make up wipe. My skin HATED, with no exaggeration, make up wipes. They were so painful and caused my skin to burn and turn red. Thankfully over the years, I have seen this product take over almost every make up artists kit. It’s extremely rare to find anyone who doesn’t use it. This remover is basically just micellaire water which makes it so light and gentle to use on your skin. I know with confidence that when I use this product, my skin will not be yelling at me and I will not be breaking out.

Side note, if I cannot convince you guys to switch over to this product … at least let me convert you to using liquid make up remover. Please, for the love of g*d, STOP using make up wipes. They are horrible for your skin and the environment.

This product also comes in many sizes which is super convenient. We’ve got the little wee baby travel size, a medium size, a large size, and a JUMBO size that has a pump - my personal favourite, mainly because I feel pretty advanced when I use it.

So, there you have it. Three beauty staples in my routine! Finding what works for you can be super stressful, but hopefully one or all of these work for you and make their way into your routines!

xx
